The Humane Society of Stanislaus County (HSSC) is a growing 501(c)3 non-profit animal rescue, welfare, and education organization primarily servicing at risk animals in Stanislaus county and is solely run by volunteers. We do not have a facility to house our animals, they all live in a foster home environment giving them a better chance for adoption. Thank you for taking your time to visit our website.

A huge thank you to PetSmart Charities for allowing HSSC to host adoption events at PetSmart on Sisk Rd in Modesto every weekend and for the substantial grant which enabled us to not only reach but exceed our goal of 40 adoptions during National Adopt-A-Thon Weekend September 16th18th!! Thank you PetSmart for all you do to help the homeless babies.

HSSC runs solely on the funds raised through fundraisers, donations, and adoptions.
